The new steel structure rose from the old footprint but doubled the capacity of the original sanctuary.  It included a large gathering area in the vestibule, a covered entry, offices and toilets.  An internally lit cupola above the entrance provides sunlight into the vestibule in the daytime and acts as a lantern at night.
